A JURY has cleared a former Didcot girl guide and brownie leader of historic child sex abuse against a teenage girl.
Fiona Bowden, 50, of Lampeter in Wales, was accused of initiating an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl in the early 2000s while living in Didcot.

She allegedly developed ‘sexual feelings and attraction’ towards the teen while Bowden was in her late 20s and married to her husband, Michael.
However, a jury cleared her at at Oxford Crown Court after a week long trial of six counts of indecency with a child, four counts of sexual activity with a child, and two counts of incident a child to engage in sexual activity.
She could be seen crying as the verdicts were read out before she was discharged by the courts.
