A young Carterton gymnast has won a bronze medal at the British Gymnastics South-West Region National Grades.

Twelve-year-old Lily Giles' exceptional performance ensured her a place in the team set to represent the region at the upcoming Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Development Plan Finals set to be held in Stoke-on-Trent in May.

The win adds to both the budding gymnast's record and the reputation of North Cotswolds Gymnastics and Trampolining Academy, where she trains.

The club said: "She is a true inspiration to aspiring gymnasts everywhere demonstrating the power of dedication, hard work, and unwavering determination.

"With this impressive achievement under Lily’s belt, she is poised for even greater achievements."
