Oxford University has partnered with Instituto Cervantes for a two-day diasporas event.

Starting today, April 11, and continuing tomorrow, April 12, the event will explore the stories of Jews and others who fled Iberia due to religious oppression.

It will highlight the experiences of the displaced, and will discuss what can be done to move the cultural contributions of Sephardic individuals to the centre of academic scholarship.

Speakers will talk about what can be learned from the experiences of Jews and Muslims expelled from the region on religious grounds.

The programme includes a range of speakers, as well as tea, coffee, and pastries from 9am-9.30am tomorrow morning.

Today's event will conclude at 5.20pm, while tomorrow's will finish at 3.15pm.

The event is taking place in the Cohen Quadrangle of Exeter College, Oxford.
