A car which had no insurance was seized by police in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police stopped a driver on Henley Avenue in the city on Wednesday morning and carried out checks on the car and occupant.

It transpired that the motorist was travelling uninsured and the car also had no Vehicle Excise Licence for two years.

As a result, the driver was reported and the car was seized by officers.

Thames Valley Police officers posted a photograph of the car along with a caption detailing the offences on Wednesday morning.

A spokesperson for the said in a statement: “A vehicle was stopped by officers on Henley Avenue, Oxford, this morning.

“The vehicle had no insurance and no VEL since 2022. The vehicle was seized and driver reported.”
