Emergency services descended on Oxford city centre following reports of a person in the river.
Fire crews, police and paramedics rushed to the incident at Osney, near Botley Road, at around 1pm today (March 9).

Pictures from the scene showed a number of emergency services vehicles on Osney Mead Industrial Estate, with rescue crews seen in dinghies.
A police helicopter circled above the Thames at Osney, Friars Wharf and Folly Bridge.
Police vehicles were seen outside Oxford Ice Rink where a drone was launched.
Bridges were closed while officers were seen along the river bank and talking to boat owners.
Two critical care doctors waited on the river embankment amid the rescue effort.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were actively searching for a man in the river.
A spokesperson said: "A call came in to fire and rescue at 13:23 relating to reports of someone in the river at Osney.
"Four fire engines and a fire and rescue boat were sent in response."
