JOSHUA PARKER, 25, of De La Warr Drive, Banbury, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Bicester on September 28 last year. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £213. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £85.

SIMON CHOATE, 49, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of theft by finding after taking a backpack, pair of Armani trainers, Alpha Industries jogging bottoms and a Hugo Boss glove to the value of £380 from the John Radcliffe Hospital on September 26 last year. He was jailed for 28 days and ordered to pay £380 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

LUKE ALFORD, 35, of Poppy Close, Kingston Bagpuize, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexually assaulting a female in Bournemouth. He was given a community order to abstain from alcohol for 90 days and complete six months of mental health treatment. He will also need to complete 30 days of the specified programme and five days of rehabilitation activity. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

GEOFFREY COOK, 34, of Georges Road, Wallingford, pleaded guilty to failing to give information about his identity to a police office after allegedly committing a road tragic offence on October 15 last year in Abingdon. He was fined £698 and had six penalty points added to his licence. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £175.

PAUL CAIRA, 61, of Quarry High Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to threatening to kill a man on February 22 this year. He was given a community order to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of mental health treatment. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114. *See clarification, below.

WILLIAM BEASLEY, 46, of Castle Street, Bicester, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving in Botley on October 7 last year. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £250. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £100.

EWA NAZARKIEWICZ, 56, of Roebuck Court, Didcot, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Didcot on March 12 this year with 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months, reduced by 20 weeks, and fined £392. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £157.

On April 11, 2024, the Oxford Mail published a Scales of Justice court listing covering the case of Paul Caira.

Mr Caira, 61, of Quarry High Street, Oxford, was convicted at Oxford Magistrates’ Court for threatening to kill a man on February 22 this year.

He was given a community order to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of mental health treatment. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

The initial report was inaccurate regarding the details of the victim. It stated the victim was a woman but was a man.
