A budding football star met an Oxford United footballer after securing a free space on an Easter holiday camp.

Oxford United in the Community, which runs programmes and courses, announced a young girl called Elsie had been selected to take part in an Easter football camp for free.

This was after she had won a competition on Facebook to take part.

Alongside her sister Poppie, Elsie met U's right-back Fin Stevens on Thursday.

Stevens has also played for the Wales under-21 national team as well as for Oxford. He is a graduate of the Arsenal Academy.

A statement from Oxford United in the Community said it was a great opportunity for the girls, whose surnames have not been disclosed, to make memories.

Oxford United in the Community states it "uses the power of football to inspire the people and communities of Oxfordshire to have positive aspirations for their futures".
