A further two arrests have been made as part of an investigation into a fatal stabbing in Oxford.

Tobias Bruce was found with multiple stab wounds in College Lane, Littlemore, on February 25, and died in hospital three days later.

A 28-year-old man was also hospitalised after the stabbing but he has since returned home.

Thames Valley Police has today (March 4) arrested a 34-year-old man from Colchester on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

A 21-year-old woman from Stratford-Upon-Avon has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

The force said the pair are currently in police custody.

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Stuart May, of the major crime unit, said: “I appreciate the significant concern that this has caused in the local community, but I do not consider there to be any wider risk to the public."

Police had previously made five arrests in connection to the investigation.

Last Thursday (March 29), a 36-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and assisting an offender.

A 41-year-old man from Headington was also arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder.

A 30-year-old man from Botley was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specific controlled drug above the specified limit.

Officers also arrested a 57-year-old woman from Headington on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have since been released on conditional bail.

A 33-year-old man, previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released with no further action.
