A mass brawl broke out after a group of men tried to force entry into a property in Oxford in the middle of the afternoon.

Weapons were brandished by men in balaclavas after the door of a property on Lenthall Road in Rose Hill was attempted to be broken down on Tuesday (April 2) at around 3.30pm.

A fight then occurred with men on bicycles and on foot, as well as others who were in a grey or silver Vauxhall Astra.

It is believed that between five and 10 people were involved, police have said.

Thames Valley Police believe that some weapons were brandished and the fight continued onto Mortimer Road and Nowell Road.

The offenders are described by police as black and white men, aged in their late teens or early 20s, and most were wearing black clothing.

Some were wearing balaclavas police say and one of the offenders is described as short, wearing a white t-shirt.

No injuries have been reported by the police.

“I’d particularly like to hear from anybody who may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam footage of the incident to contact us.

“I would also urge anybody who has CCTV footage to please check this and make contact if it has captured the incident.
