A Oxford-based charity that supports individuals with visual impairments is providing disability awareness training to help people understand how sight loss can impact day-to-day life.
The MyVision sessions are led by people with lived experienced of sight loss and give participants the knowledge to assist those with visual impairments.
The training has educated organisations including the NHS, town and parish councils, and large care providers.
The charity's next session, scheduled for April 24 in partnership with 3DOM, will focus on visual and physical disability awareness.
Community engagement lead, Nathan Tree said, "This disability awareness training will inform participants on what living with a disability is like, the challenges and the triumphs.
"This is important knowledge as disability affects a large amount of the population."
