The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court

JACK STOKES, 18, of Barleyfield Way, Witney, pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting an emergency worker, a police constable, between August 4 and 5 last year in Witney as well as one count of common assault on an emergency worker and one count of racially/religiously aggravated intention harassment/alarm/distress. He was given a six-month custodial sentence in a youth offenders institute, suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to pay £200 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

ASHLEY EADLE, 35, of Wellington Street, Thame, pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting an emergency worker, a police officer, in Oxford on October 23 last year. They were given a community order to complete nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and 20 days of rehabilitation activity. They were also ordered to pay £100 in compensation. There were court costs of £200.

PATRICK MUNAMATO, 36, of Wayland Road, Grove, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle while unfit to drive through drink in Market Place, Wantage on December 3 last year. He was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £200. There were court costs of £85.

LUKE CRUIKSHANK, 33, of Monksfield Way, Slough,  pleaded guilty to driving on the M40 near Oxfordshire while disqualified on January 19 this year as well as driving without third-party insurance. He was given an 18 week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to complete 19 days of rehabilitation activity and 200 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from driving for four years. There were court costs of £85.

ANDREW BOWEN, 44, of Poulton Place, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving in Oxford on August 27 last year as well as one count of possession of a Class A drug, namely a quantity of cocaine. He was given a community order to complete nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and 40 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for 24 months. There were court costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £114.

STEVEN MILLS, 59, of Northmoor Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to of using threatening, abusive, insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence in Kidlington on February 5 this year as well as one count of assault by beating of David Symons on the same day. He was given a 16 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was banned from entering Broad Close, Kidlington for three months and must complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity.  There were no orders for costs.
