Castle Quay Shopping Centre in Banbury is set to host two free, family-friendly Easter events.

From 11am to 4pm on April 1, visitors can expect Easter Bunny and Alice in Wonderland character impersonators, along with Easter-themed stilt walkers.

At the same time a week later, on April 8, Elsa and Anna princess impersonators will grace the centre, posing for photos with children.

Their stilt-walking sidekicks will also be present.

Both days will feature balloon modellers making characters for children, and face-painters will be on hand to transform the kids into their favourite Easter characters.

Oliver Wren, centre director at Castle Quay Shopping Centre said: "We can’t wait to host these Funday Monday events for families to enjoy.

"There’s no need to book – just show up on the day and enjoy an Easter treat on us."

An Easter egg competition will be running throughout the centre from April 1 to 8, where visitors must find the Easter Bunny cuddly toy using clues from Castle Quay's social media.

Upon finding the toy, they will discover a basket of eggs.

Taking one egg to the customer service desk will earn the visitor a sweet treat and an entry into a prize draw to win a £50 gift card for The Entertainer.

There will also be a golden egg hidden somewhere, promising an Easter surprise for the lucky finder.

Banbury Museum will hold an Easter bonnet workshop for children on March 29 at 10.30am and 1.30pm, which will cost £5.
