Two teenage brothers have been banned from an Oxford estate for causing criminal damage and committing antisocial behaviour.

Callum Gerken, 16, and Jake Gerken, 14, from Forest Hill, have been given two-year antisocial behaviour orders (Asbo) banning them from entering Risinghurst.

They are also banned from using threatening behaviour or violence, or intimidating, abusing or swearing at any member of the public in England and Wales.

The hearing at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Monday also imposed an order on the brothers' parents to control their children's behaviour.

Pc Dan Godden, the neighbourhood officer for Risinghurst, said: "Callum and Jake Gerken have caused harassment, alarm and distress to the residents of Risinghurst.

"They have sworn at and intimidated neighbours near the community centre and the playground.

"The problems caused by these youths go back more than a year and they have ruined the quality of life of certain residents.

"The court heard from witnesses who live in the area who were affected by the unprovoked attacks on their homes and gardens.

"These Asbos should send a message to other youths in the area."
