Oxfordshire has the ninth slowest firefighter response times in the UK according to a new study.
Claims.co.uk researchers used Home Office data to analyse the call handling times, crew turnout times, and drive times for all types of fires in the quarter ending in September 2023.
It revealed that the average firefighter response time in Oxfordshire was 11 minutes and 14 seconds.
Tyne and Wear took the top spot for the fastest response times with an average of 6 minutes and 53 seconds.
On the other end of the scale, North Yorkshire had the slowest response at 12 minutes and 37 seconds.
A spokesperson from Claims.co.uk said: "It’s fascinating to see which areas of the UK have the fastest firefighter response times, as it’s certainly reassuring for residents to know that they’ll receive help quickly in an emergency."
