The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

MICHAEL HARDISTY, 41, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the sex offenders register by failing to attend the police station and notify that he is homeless on or before December 29 last year. He was jailed for 22 weeks. There were no orders for costs.

CONNOR BUCK, 29, of Burnells, Didcot, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Weston-On-Green on August 25 last year. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £200. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £80.

DARREN EDWARDS, 57, of Pincott Road, London, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Oxford on February 5 this year with 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks, and fined £480. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £192.

ROSS MCGINLEY, 33, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop. On November 14 last year he stole two coats to the value of £270 belonging to Marks & Spencers in Queen Street and on December 18 last year he stole £171 worth of clothing from Primark in the Westgate Centre. He was ordered to pay £270 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

KEVIN NDIRANGU, 34, of Hayes Close, Bristol, pleaded guilty to entering a premises in contravention of a closure order – namely Alice Smith Square in Oxford. He entered on February 19 this year. He was fined £250. There were court costs of £85.

JAKE SPEKE, 23, of Rymers Lane, Oxford, pleaded guilty to beating a police officer in Abingdon on June 15 last year. He was given a community order to complete 20 days of rehabilitation activity. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

ADAM NASH, 45, of Wood Farm Lane, Headington, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage after damaging a £1,850 cocktail machine belonging to The City Arms Public House in Oxford on April 13 last year. He was given a community order to pay £500 in compensation and has been banned from entering the public house for six months. There were no other orders for costs.

PAUL BACCHUS, 58, of St Peters Road, Didcot, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Didcot on December 5 last year with 96 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was given a community order to complete 10 days of rehabilitation activity. He was also disqualified from driving for 40 months and fined £120. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

MARK DICKEN, 49, of Catterick Road, Bicester, pleaded guilty to drink-driving in Bicester on January 24 this year with 114 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath as well as one count of driving without third party insurance on the same day. He was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He must also complete 10 days of rehabilitation activity and 60 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from driving for 48 months. There were court costs of £85.
