A West Oxfordshire pub is set to reopen next weekend after undergoing an “extensive” refurbishment.
The Plough Inn in Alevscot has been closed as its new owners prepare to reopen the popular village pub.
A social media post from the pub captioned “the countdown is on” revealed the pub will reopen on Saturday, March 2.

One of its new owners, Dave Ford, has confirmed there will be a soft opening this weekend before welcoming customers for the first time next Saturday.
The village pub was previously refurbished last year after being taken over by former owners Paul Layton and his partner Monica at the start of 2023.
The pair took over the pub from Stewart and Jemma Traynor who had been at the Plough Inn for nearly 10 years before leaving for The Talbot in Eynsham.
