There are a number of road closures coming up around West Oxfordshire that are set to cause diversions and disruptions.

The closures are for maintenance, resurfacing and drainage works.

Road Closure at Witney, Park Road

A stretch of Park Road in Witney will be closed from March 4 up to and including March 8, 24 hours per day, for essential ducting works by Ferns Group.

The extent of the closure and also the alternative routes for traffic is shown.

Burford Road at Minster Lovell

The B4047 Burford Road, Minster Lovell will be closed overnight from February 26 for carriageway patching work by the county council.

The anticipated completion date is March 1 2024, and works will operate between 8pm and 6am each night.

Access will be maintained for emergency services and for frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.

Brize Norton Road at Minster Lovell

Brize Norton Road, Minster Lovell will be closed from February 26 for carriageway patching works.

The anticipated completion date is February 28 with works operating from 8pm to 6am each night.

Access will be maintained for emergency services and for frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.

Finstock to Alvescot

The B4477 between Filkins, Kencot and Alvescot will be closed for a further month for carriageway resurfacing and drainage works.

The works are anticipated to be completed on 28 March 2024.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic is via the A361 to Burford, A40/B4020 to Carterton and the B4477 to Alvescot or vice versa.
