Freddie Hergt, Dyllan England and Roman Kopinski have previous experience of playing for England.

12-year-old Dyllan England said: "I am delighted to be selected again to play.

"We won our last game at home and so we hope to do well as we travel to Wales".

Dyllan England has previously been honoured with the GLL Sports Foundation Award for his bowling ability.

The junior team was started by former chief inspector of Thames Valley police, Shaun Morley, who is the team's coach.

Mr Morley said: "It is a phenomenal achievement to provide almost a quarter of the entire team, especially as our players have many years ahead of them - the oldest not quite 14 but their standard of play merits their selection."

All the players are from West Oxfordshire and are students in local schools including Chipping Norton and Woodstock.

Short Mat Bowls is played indoors and can be played by people of any age.
