Couples are being invited to pen their romantic tales for a chance to win a meal at an Oxford hotel's new restaurant.

The chosen couple will enjoy a three-course dish at voco Oxford Thames Hotel's Napier's, valued at £120 per couple.

The tale could be anything from their unique meeting, first toast of wine, or why their love story deserves a rich treat.

Open only from February 14 to 17, the pair will be served dishes curated by executive chef, Ciprian Dumitrache, inspired by modern French dining.

The newly opened restaurant is named after George Napier, a priest, and previous owner and resident of the house and farm from 1550 until 1610, where the hotel now stands.

James Bell, voco Oxford Thames Hotel manager, said: "We’d love to hear love stories from the community.

"We are always looking at ways we can offer a nice treat to people, particularly straight after January, so Valentine’s Day presents an opportunity.

"We want to make this month extra special for a deserving couple to come and enjoy the language of love in the beautiful setting of our new Napier’s restaurant, on us."

To participate, couples can email the hotel manager at james.bell1@ihg.com.

In no more than 100 words, they are asked to share come stories of their love.
