A driver wanted for GBH was identified by a Thames Valley Roads Policing team yesterday evening (Friday, February 9).
The team located and stopped a vehicle containing the wanted individual when travelling on the M40 near Junction 9. They were then taken to custody.
The driver was sought by police for a section 20 GBH offence.
Thames Valley Roads Policing confirmed yesterday evening online: “XRC03 has located and stopped a vehicle containing a wanted person for a Section 20 GBH assault on the M40 near Junction 9 this evening. Person now in Custody awaiting arrival of #Wiltspol.”
On Tuesday this week (February 6) the Roads Policing Team also stopped a van on the A34 near to Weston-on-the-Green which had an expletive written on the doors in the dirt.
The driver provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis and cocaine and was arrested and taken to Banbury custody.
