GASPAR FERNANDES, 38, of Ilsley Road, Headington, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of a pregnant woman in Oxford on December 24 last year as well as assaulting a detention officer at Abingdon Police Station on the same day. He was jailed for 26 weeks, suspended for 24 months. He was ordered to abstain from alcohol for 120 days and has been made subject to monitoring equipment. He must also complete 20 rehabilitation activity days. There were no orders for costs.

JOHN BOWLEY, 67, of The Street, Crowmarsh Gifford, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order in Crowmarsh Gifford on December 21 last year by calling a woman he was prohibited from contacting due to a restraining order put in place at Oxford Magistrates Court on the same day. He was given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He also needs to complete 27 rehabilitation activity days and 120 hours of unpaid work. There were court costs of £85 and the restraining order is still in place.

ALFIE MONAGHAN, 20, of Turner Road, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop on January 10 this year after stealing food and drink to the value of £10.65 from M&S in Oxford. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of racially aggravated harassment on January 10, one count of assault by beating on the same day, and one count of criminal damage are damaging a police cell at Abingdon Police Station to an unknown value. He was given a community order to complete six months of drug rehabilitation, 40 rehabilitation activity days and 40 hours of unpaid work.

ALISTAIR MORRIS, 42, of Pixey Place, Oxford, was found guilty of harassment of a woman in Oxford on August 31 last year after attending her home address and making a number of unwanted phone calls. He was given a community order to complete 30 rehabilitation activity days and was made subject to electronic monitoring. There were court costs of £775 and a victim surcharge of £114.

JAMES MESSENGER, 23, of Farmington Drive, Witney, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of drugs in Abingdon on February 5 last year as well as possession of a quantity of cannabis on the same day. He was fined £250 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £100.

RICHARD HAMILTON, 38, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft. The first on November 27 last year, he told £96 of alcohol from Tesco in Cowley Road, Oxford and on November 29 he stole a £300 electric toothbrush from John Lewis. He also pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage at Albion Place, Oxford after damaging a wall belonging to Hogrefe Ltd on November 10 last year. He was jailed for 26 weeks. There were no orders for costs.
