Leafield’s annual roadside litter pick-up recovered more than three wheelie bins’ worth of rubbish.
For two hours, a record 24 participants, including residents and district councillor Liam Walker, worked to clean-up about eight miles of terrain within and around the village.
Michael Triff, a local, organised the initiative which took place on Saturday, February 3, with Oxfordshire County Council and Leafield Parish Council providing the necessary tools.

More than half of the collected items, including some auto body parts, were sorted into recyclables and general waste.
The remaining items were reported to the county council.
The clean-up concluded with refreshments organised by Deborah Triff.
