A DRIVER has been disqualified after being caught speeding in Oxfordshire.

Jamie Avery, of Avocet Way, Bicester, was caught on May 9 last year speeding on the M4 near Swindon in a Kia Evo vehicle.

The 33-year-old was caught on an automatic speed camera exceeding the 70mph speed limit. It is unknown at what speed Avery was caught.

At Swindon Magistrates’ Court on February 6, Avery pleaded guilty to one count of speeding.

He was disqualified for 28 days and was fined £530 for the offence.

As well as the disqualification, Avery was also ordered to pay £90 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £212.

The total amount Avery will need to pay is £832 by the start of March.
