An Oxford technology college is set to host the an open event to showcase the range of study and employment opportunities they offer.

The event will take place at the City of Oxford College Technology Campus in Blackbird Leys on February 21 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

Those attending can engage in subject area presentations, meet current students, and learn about the college lifestyle.

Visitors can get a closer look at the college through the 'Introduction to College' talk led by the head of student experience.

A range of programmes including the Access to Higher Education programmes which can fast-track a route to university, T Level programmes, and Apprenticeship programmes will be presented.

The event will introduce the new South-Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) hub, offering insights into digital programmes like data analytics and software development.

Workshops on construction, brickwork, carpentry, and motor vehicle technologies will be on offer, and the Esports programme launched in September can also be explored.

Staff members and careers advisors from Activate Learning will be on hand to provide guidance for planning a learning route, and offer expert advice.

Added support will also be available from the student services team for discussing potential financial aids and bursaries.

There will also be the opportunity to submit an application early to guarantee securing a place.
