A PROLIFIC burglar has had his sentencing delayed as the Crown Prosecution Service does not accept his version of events.
Marc Lelli, 43, was due to be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday (January 30) for one count of aggravated burglary.
He has previously been handed a six-year sentence for burglary and while on licence from that sentence he broke into a home on King's Road, Banbury on October 9 last year.

It is alleged he was armed with a claw hammer and a knuckle duster and took from the home a purse, a wallet, a ceramic jug and £330 in cash.
Lelli, of Normany Crescent, Oxford, entered a basis of plea which the prosecution does not accept.
This means he accepts his role but denies some of the details put forward by the prosecution.
A Newton hearing to establish the different version of facts has now been scheduled for April 26.
It is estimated it will take about two hours and will include evidence from the two complainants in the case.
The court that Lelli had been a Class A drug addict for more than 20 years and the offence occurred with another person who has not yet been identified.
He will remain in custody until the next hearing where he has been since the offence took place in October.
