Volunteers from community group One Planet Abingdon shared vegan food near the town's market place.
They gathered at the County Hall museum on Saturday to make vegan curry and rice for passers by in exchange for a donation to promote Veganuary.
The national campaign an annual challenge run by a UK non-profit organisation that promotes and educates about veganism by encouraging people to follow a vegan lifestyle for the month of January.

Since the event began in 2014, participation has increased each year.
One Planet Abingdon said while promoting the event: "It is Veganuary and lots of people are trying out vegan food. One of our lovely volunteers, Aradhana, has offered to share a tasty plant based curry and rice.
"Our aim is to encourage plant based eating to help to save the planet.
"We know it is difficult to change behaviour and by offering a vegan tasting plate – we hope to inspire you to try it at home."
