A cash-filled envelope has been handed to police by a member of the public.
The money was found in Abingdon town centre on Thursday, January 11 and handed to neighbourhood police officers.
Police said they are "keen to reunite it with its rightful owner".
Enquiries have been carried out but have so far been unsuccessful.
Anyone who has lost the money or know someone who has, should get in touch with PCSO Susie Morley.
The owner will need to give specific details, in order to collect the envelope.
