Oxfordshire County Council has issued a temporary traffic order affecting Old Marston's Cotswold Crescent.
The order will come into force on January 18 to facilitate water mains renewal works.
These works will be performed between 8am and 6pm and are expected to be completed by February 23.
The order will result in a temporary closure of the road for most vehicles.
However, exceptions have been made for emergency services and for access to premises accessible only from the restricted section.
Alternative travel routes for affected vehicles will be via Haynes Road.
The Council will display traffic signs indicating when and where measures are in place.
This travel restriction will stay in place for a maximum of 18 months or until the completion of the works.
