Florence Park in East Oxford has been given a Green Flag Award.
The honour recognises top quality parks and green spaces across the country.
Florence Park is a first-time winner of the award, which was launched in 1996 and is managed by the Civic Trust.
Wallingford Castle Meadows in south Oxfordshire was also given the same award.
Last year, a row brewed over the scrapping of flowers in Florence Park.
It was proposed they were pulled up to pay to lock the park overnight at weekends after it emerged Florence Park was the only one in the city locked overnight.
