Archeologists are sharpening their tools ahead of a four-week dig, starting tomorrow in near Frilford.
The public has been welcomed to a National Archeology Open Day event where university students will be start carrying out excavations at an Iron Age site where there is evidence of settlements dating back to 700 BC.
Watching excavations is part of a host of activities being laid on at the site, which is on the A338 past the Marcham turning on the left hand side. Entry is free.
