Major plans for 145 new homes near Oxford are set to be submitted by a developer.

Warwickshire-based company Cilldara Group wants to build the houses and a care home on the land at Bayswater Farm on the outskirts of Headington.

The company is preparing to submit a planning application to South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) and Oxford City Council, the planning authorities.

The intended site is part of the land north of Bayswater Brook, an area earmarked for 1,100 new homes in the South Oxfordshire Local Plan 2035.

It is part of a commitment by South Oxfordshire District Council to assume some of Oxford’s unmet housing need by allocating housing sites near the city border.
