Six-year-old Ronan Holley has scooped the prize in Oxfordshire County Council's Christmas nativity card competition.
The youngster attends St Nicholas C of E Infants School in Wallingford, and his brightly coloured, joyful design was chosen as the winner.
Councillor Felix Bloomfield, the chair of the Council, paid a visit to the school on December 19 to deliver the prize.
He said: “I was hugely grateful to the enormous number of primary pupils and their schools from across the county that took part, well done to them all.
"Ronan's design stood out with its bright vibrant colours and strong composition combining to make a happy and joyful image that made me smile and captured how we should all feel at Christmas time.
"His design now graces the front of my Christmas cards and is truly joyful and triumphant."
