A THIEF is due to be sentenced in the New Year after being convicted of burglary and theft in East Challow.
Simon Snuggs, of Tighe Close, Wantage, admitted that on Saturday (December 16) between 1.54pm and 2.22pm, he entered a property in Faringdon Road, East Challow, and stole sentimental jewellery and alcohol.
The 54-year-old was arrested on the Monday and charged the following day.

Appearing at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (December 19), Snuggs pleaded guilty to one count of burglary dwelling and theft.
He has been granted bail by the court to appeal for sentencing at Oxford Crown Court on January 24.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Nicola Lamb said: “I am pleased that Snuggs has admitted these offences and he will now be sentenced accordingly in the New Year."
