A Wallingford café has announced that it will be closing its doors at the end of this week.

Ribizli Café, in St Mary’s Street, will be open until this Saturday (December 23).

Taking to social media last week, owners of the vegan café expressed their heartfelt thanks to everyone who had supported them in the last seven years.

Co-owners Viki and Andy Arthur took over the business in June 2021 after returning from a trip to South Africa and deciding to pursue a new venture.

Ms Arthur said: “After taking over from the previous owners, unfortunately we have to say goodbye for personal reasons. We’ve received an outpouring of love, with messages of support, shock and best wishes for the future.

“The things we will miss the most are meeting and speaking with so many wonderful customers, making friends and sharing healthy food, recipes and treats which are renowned for being different and of good quality such as wraps, soups, cakes, curries and salads.”

All is not lost for customers however, as Ms Arthur confirmed that she is open to baking and creating vegan produce for those with direct orders who get in contact.

In the meantime, the couple is encouraging everyone to come down between now and Saturday.

Ms Arthur added: “Although we having nothing special planned for now for our last day, we are expecting to be busy so please come and enjoy everything we have to offer.”
