An Oxfordshire charity has celebrated its 75th anniversary with a carol service attended by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire.
Marjorie Glasgow BEM and Sally Scott both attended the service for The Mulberry Bush charity, which was held at St Barnabas Church.
It celebrated the Oxfordshire-based charity's crucial work in educating and caring for primary school-aged children who have encountered significant trauma, neglect, or abuse.
The evening filled with carols and readings, united past pupils, founding family members, and the community in recognising the charity's increasing impact and reach throughout the festive season.
Jo Mitchell, spokesperson for The Mulberry Bush, said: "We were thrilled and honoured that the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire attended our Mulberry Carol Service celebrating 75 years of making a difference to young people who have suffered severe trauma and those who care for them".
She added: "The presence of both The Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and Sally Scott, the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire, was, for us, an endorsement of the important work of everyone involved in the charity."
The organisers of the service, also supporters of the charity, said: "We are very proud to be a truly Oxfordshire Carol Service fundraising for a local charity and bringing together people, communities and organisations that are based in Oxfordshire".
