An asset manager who was found dead in his Wallingford home is suspected to have died from a gunshot wound, a court has heard.

Andrew Hall, 41, died on November 27 at his home in Newington.

He was identified to officers the evening of his death by a friend, who had found him, an inquest opened into his death heard in Oxford yesterday.

Officers attended the property at 7.07pm after Mr Hall was reported as being found ‘unconscious with a gunshot wound which is believed to be self-inflicted’.

The inquest was opened at Oxford's Coroners Court by senior coroner Darren Salter.

The details surrounding his death and the gun is currently unknown but a full inquest into his death has been listed for April 22 at 11am.
