Residents of Wallingford took to the town centre on Sunday (December 3) for the town’s seventh Santa Dash.

Nearly 300 Santa lookalikes congregated at the Market Place before walking, jogging and running a 3km route. The route took the Santas to the Kine Croft, up St George’s Street, onto the Bull Croft, back to the Kine Croft and returning Market Place.

The event was organised by charity Style Acre in conjunction with Wallingford Town Council as part of Wallingford’s Christmas Fayre.

Those in attendance also enjoyed live entertainment ranging from dance performances to musical performances from Cholsey Silver Band and Wallingford's Ukulele Band and a dog show.

The event also offered visits to Santa’s Grotto, a community book exchange in the town hall and a Where’s Santa Trail around 20 town shop windows.

Wallingford town councillor Jacki Hoskins said: “Thank you to all who came and made the day a great event.

"The town council couldn’t have pulled it off without the support of the enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking team of volunteers. Watch this space for 2024 – we will be bigger.”
