An “enchanting” Victorian Christmas market took over Bicester Market Square for the first time in the town’s history.

The weekend saw scores of people roaming Sheep Street perusing over 100 stalls and trying to spot Santa Claus.

Visitors to the market enjoyed a Victorian carousel as well as tasty treats, Victorian characters and other rides during the day.

The day was also livened up with stage performances that “captured the essence of Victorian splendour,”, along with street performers.

The event was put on by LSD Promotions, who were also approached to operate the Oxford Christmas Market this year, which is taking place in Broad Street.
