Striking lights have illuminated an Oxford man's house in the run up to Christmas day.

Kennington resident Martin Claridge has been hard at work to make sure children can "visit Santa" for free every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5pm to 8pm up to Christmas eve.

The lights are a regular annual feature of Mr Claridge's abode but this year he is collecting donations for the Oxfordshire hospice Sobell House which provides end of life care for those in need.

Every child will apparently receive a "great present" and there are giveaways as well as the chance to sit in the photo sleigh and take pictures with family and friends in addition to purchasing hot dogs, hot chocolate and Christmas items.

Mr Claridge said in a public post: "Come and view the best if you have seen the rest, rated the best display in Oxfordshire - don't miss this."
