A property developer has sponsored running gear for Benson United Football Club members who entered the Oxford Half Marathon.
David Wilson Homes sponsored the running gear of four coaches who took part to raise funds for the club's junior football outfits which are facing financial struggles.
Danny O'Driscoll was a debutant in the event, while Matt Ploszynski hit a personal best by finishing the race in one hour and 19 minutes.
His teammates finished the race in around two hours.
Mr O’Driscoll said: "It was a great atmosphere to run in front of a large crowd through the city.
"We have the bug for running now as we’ve all signed up to do it again next year, and a couple of us have signed up to run the Reading Half Marathon in April.
"We are not all quite ready for a full marathon yet, but watch this space."

Managing director at David Wilson Homes Southern, Campbell Gregg, said: "We are thrilled to have sponsored Benson United Football Club in its participation in the Oxford Half Marathon.
"We believe in the importance of community support and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
"This initiative aligns with our values, and we commend the coaches for their dedication and impressive performances."
