South Oxfordshire has been named among England and Wales’ least violent areas after a crime data analysis.
The district has only 169 violent crimes per 10,000 householders taking place annually, according to security company Get Licensed.
The company looked at crime data from cities across England and Wales to reveal the most violent cities as well as the crimes most common throughout the year.

South Oxfordshire was ranked 10th in the list of areas, with 2,541 violent crimes recorded between 2022 and 2023.
Richmond upon Thames took the top spot with just 153 violent crimes per 10,000 householders.
The analysis shows October sees the most violent crimes taking place at over 176,000, and December sees the fewest at 155,200.
Violent crime covers a variety of offences, ranging from common assault to murder. It also encompasses the use of weapons such as firearms, knives and corrosive substances like acid.
