The school closure was listed on the Oxfordshire County Council website and is the only school in Oxfordshire listed as closed today.

Surrounding areas appear unaffected by power outages suggesting that this is an isolated issue.

The Burford School is a co-educational academy day and state boarding school and is one of 40 state boarding schools in England.

Parents and carers are encouraged to check their internal messages from the school for further information.
