Police are appealing for help from the public to trace a 62-year-old man missing from his canal boat near St Thomas' Street in Oxford.
William Michael O'Neill, who is known to his friends as Nemo, is white, slim, 5ft 11in tall and has short grey hair and a grey moustache.
Denise Trafford, missing persons co-ordinator for Oxford, said: "It is thought that Mr O'Neill left his boat to visit his family in Rose Hill but didn't turn up and hasn't made contact with them.
"His family and friends are concerned for his welfare and I would urge him to get in touch with his family or the police as soon as possible on 0845 8 505 505."
Alternatively, if you don't want to speak to police or leave your name, call the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
