In his letter imagining responses to Christ's second coming (Oxford Mail, July 3), Derek Honey referred rightly to the self-interest which leads people to reject the real Christ.
He also spoke of the second coming as if it was going to be a forlorn attempt by Christ to get his way.
But as Bob Dylan sang in When He returns, "He's got plans of His own, To set up His throne, He'll unleash His power, At an unknown hour", and before Christ, "The strongest wall will crumbling fall" and "He's the mighty God".
