A transatlantic musical duo is touring their debut album around the UK with a stop in Abingdon.
New York City’s Max ZT, and Tokyo singer-songwriter and guitarist Dan Whitehouse will be bringing a blend of virtuosic instrumental, soulful song and spoken-word to the Unicorn Theatre in Abingdon on Thursday, October 19.
The duo’s debut release Ten Steps was recorded between New York and Tokyo.

With Max’s dulcimer and Dan’s soothing vocals the two tackle subjects as wide ranging as fatherhood, practising golf swings as a metaphor for life, the way the Japanese sunlight bounces off buildings “like God’s graffiti,” and the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Max ZT and Dan Whitehouse’s songs are inventive and intimate.
This is the duo’s second like UK tour together.
