Did you spot a yellow helicopter flying over Oxford today?
Pictures, taken from Osney Mead, show the aircraft flying low just above the buildings at around 11am.
The yellow helicopter had the word 'electricity' written in bold on its side, and are often used by electricity distributors to check for any repair or maintenance works.
A spokeswoman for the National Grid said: "We were carrying out a high voltage overhead line patrol on behalf of our neighbouring distribution network operator SSE.
"This was due to a recent fault that had occurred after the lightning storm on Monday evening. Our helicopter was checking that there were no further faults on the overhead line."
