Radio and television presenter Ken Bruce has said he is filled with joy as Greatest Hits Radio is set to come to Oxfordshire this month.

Oxfordshire residents will be able to listen to the Greatest Hits Radio and Hits Radio stations from Monday, October 30.

This comes after Ken Bruce announced earlier this year that he was leaving BBC Radio 2 after 32 years at the station to join Greatest Hits.

Mr Bruce commented: “As a long standing Oxfordshire resident, the news that you’ll be able to hear not only Greatest Hits Radio but our sister station, Hits Radio, on FM fills me with joy.

“I’d highly recommend starting with Greatest Hits Radio at 10am every weekday.

“Not entirely sure who’s on air then but I’ve heard he’s worth a listen...‘

Both Hits Radio and Greatest Hits Radio will launched as regionalised versions of the national stations and continue to feature songs from ‘iconic artists’.

They will also offer listeners local news, traffic and travel and continue to feature ‘much-loved radio broadcasters’.

Since starting at Greatest Hits in April, the Ken Bruce show has aired every weekday from 10am to 1pm.

Launch of the two stations follows Bauer Media Audio UK’s completion of the acquisition of Jack Radio’s two FM licences.
