Hundreds of people with umbrellas lined the streets of Bicester to watch the town's annual carnival procession.
Leading the way was the ATC Band who braved the rain and marched to the sports field in Oxford Road.
Following on were Caribbean-themed floats, fire engines, Army vehicles, a classic car and a steam engine. The best float went to the Scout group.
For the second year, the Wheelie Bin races took over the town centre. Thirty teams took part in three races. The winners were Lisseters of Bicester, the Pioneer Pub and Bicester Ladies Circle.
Town councillor Debbie Pickford said: "A lot more people turned out than I thought would. It wasn't quite a washout but it nearly was."
