An Oxford school celebrated diversity with more than 50 languages recorded as being spoken in the homes of the school’s families.
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School's annual International Day was held last Friday (September 22) giving an opportunity for pupils to celebrate their different nationalities.
Children attended the Headington school in national dress, or in the colours of national flags.
They spoke about their connections to different places, the languages they speak, the places they have visited, and where their extended families and friends may live.

The day culminated in a social event at school with the sharing of national dishes at a family gathering supported by the school and PTA.
Headteacher Jess Tweedie said: “We are very proud of our position as an Oxford City School with a wonderfully diverse intake.
“Diversity forms a key part of our curriculum along with academic excellence and taking-action with our learning.
"It was lovely to see so many children enthusiastically talking about their global connections.”
