Bicester’s Market Square will be closed to vehicles for a “special” mayoral civic service parade event.
The ceremony will take place this Sunday, September 24 during which time the market square will be shut off to cars and for parking.
The parade will begin at 3pm at St Edburg’s Church, then people are being invited to line the Market Square to enjoy the mayoral service.

The annual event has traditionally taken place in June to welcome the new town mayor, but this year Bicester Town Council has made the decision to move it to September to encourage more local groups to take part.
Bicester will also see a Remembrance Service and Parade on Sunday, November 2023.
The service will again begin on the ground of St Edburg’s Church.
